Siemens made its choice.

On June 2, during the meeting of Gennady Fadeev (President of the “Russian Railways” JSC) and Dietrich Moeller (German President of the “Trains” division of the “Siemens Transportation Systems”), the results of Siemens's choice of the Russian partner to produce high-speed locomotives were announced. The Demikhov engineering plant (“Transmashholding” CJSC) was chosen out from 69 Russian industrial enterprises as the most corresponding to the demands of Siemens. Gennady Fadeev approved the choice. Siemens and Transmashholding will create a joint venture to develop the project of high-speed locomotives production. Gennady Fadeev announced that the control packet of shares of this joint venture will belong to the Russian side.
